Learn how event·hapily turns off Registration forms when you reach max capacity!
As much as you’d love to let all interested parties attend your event, sometimes there’s just no room left. Maybe all the seats in the theater have been taken up or there’s not enough cake for any newcomers.
Either way, you’ll want to make sure that signing up is no longer an option once your event reaches carrying capacity. Fortunately, event·hapily will take care of this for you!
In your hapily session object record lives a nifty property called Max Capacity. As the name indicates, you can set just how many people are allowed to sign up.
How does this help? I'll tell you! By using event·hapily's hapily Registration Form module, you can allow people to sign up for your event and prevent further registrations once you're all booked up. Here's how to set it up:
1. On your website editor page, click the + button in the top left.
2. In the resulting menu, click and drag the hapily Registration Form module onto your webpage.
3. Under the hapily Session field, select a hapily session you want the form to register Contacts to. If you're creating this page as a template for event·hapily's Dynamic Pages, it will automatically know which session to select here upon creation.
4. Under the Choose a form field, select the form you would like to use.
5. Under the Sold out text field, type in the message you would like to display when you've hit max registration capacity.
6. Customize the rest of the module / webpage as desired and you're done!
With the webpage set up, the form module will look at the current number of hapily registrants associated to the selected Session and compare it to your Max Capacity value.
If there’s room for more attendees, the registration form will remain open for business! If you’ve reached Max Capacity, the form will automatically block all further registrations.
